Winter Wonderland

A holiday party in January?

The Kohl Mansion held an amazing holiday cocktail party for a corporate event, this past Saturday, January 11, 2014. Stunning silver and crisp white transformed the Kohl Mansion into a spectacular Winter Wonderland. Using all rooms on the main level of the mansion, an ice cream and dessert bar, sushi bar, even a casino room provided by California Casino were instant favorites for the company’s employees. Lounge seating provided by Hartmann Studios and whimsical details filled the space. Gorgeous birch trees and stately silver trees were accented by astonishing light by Allegra Entertainment and Events that scattered blues and purples throughout the mansion. A delicious menu was presented by McCalls Catering and guests had plenty of options for fun activities throughout the night including great music from DJ Patrick McMichael.

Pretty Winter Pastels

The Kohl Mansion was glistening with crisp and wintery pastel hues this past Saturday, January 4, 2014. The first wedding of the new year was ravishing. Authentic Korean details gave an instant pop of color that really enhanced the ambiance. Traditional meets modern with this glamourous event. The mansion was breathtaking with two ceremonies, one American and the other Korean, along with a lovely menu from Le Papillon Catering and Bijan Bakery. The photographer was SBJ Photo Creation and the beautiful florals were designed by De Young Florist.

Amazing Aubergine

Kohl Mansion celebrated the marriage of Jessica and Greg on Saturday, Novemeber 9, 2013 with an amazing array of stylish aubergine and chic grey tones. This spectacular day radiated not only the love the couple had for each other, but the magnificent details that contributed to the couples special day. The mansion was glistening with glamourous table tops, not to mention an eye-catching cake baked by Studio Cake in Menlo Park. Flowers were wonderfully designed by Asiel Design located in San Jose. The mouth watering menu was catered by La Boca Fina in the East Bay.

Elegantly Enchanted…

On Saturday, November 16, 2013, Chris and Heather were married at Our Lady of Angels Church in Burlingame, followed by the magnificent reception at our lovely Kohl Mansion.

The Mansion was embellished with impeccable detail. Silver, pewter grey, white, cream and pale pink flowers filled the grand ballroom, making a breathtaking impression. Accompanied with the flawless floral arrangements were the whimsically elegant garlands that created drama and stylish entryways to the candy bar and out to the patio for cocktails. It was an enchanted evening radiated by a full moon, close family and friends that the couple will always remember.

An Outdoor Reception to Remember

Caitlin and Ron were married at Saint Gregory’s Catholic Church in San Mateo on September 15th. The couple chose Kohl Mansion as their reception site, in which they used the courtyard patio for dinner and the indoor Great Hall for dancing. The purple accents of the flowers, the dresses, and even the Limoncello straws created a personal touch to a beautifully crafted wedding.

A classic Great Gatsby like party…
